PROM DRESS ALTERATIONS

These are estimates of typical alterations. Final pricing is determined after fitting based on the fabric and style of the garment. All fittings are included at no additional cost. Zoe is happy to discuss the alterations, and suggest cost-saving measures if desired. If your specific alteration isn’t listed below, please reach out for an estimate.

✄ Zoe will travel anywhere in Westchester to fit you in the comfort of your own home. She will then bring the garments back to her home studio in White Plains to do the work. You can pick the completed alterations up from her home studio or she will deliver them back to your home or other requested location.

✄ Most fittings with Zoe take about 30 minutes. If your garment is more complex or you have special requests, just let her know—she’s happy to allow extra time when possible.

✄ One fitting is generally enough for most casual clothing. Formalwear generally requires two scheduled fittings. If your alterations require more, Zoe will always discuss next steps with you before moving forward.

✄ To get the best results, make sure to have:

1. The garment you’d like altered – so the fit can be assessed accurately.

2. The undergarments or shapewear you’ll wear with it – especially important for formalwear or close-fitting styles.

3. The shoes you plan to wear – essential for hemming dresses, pants, or anything that depends on height.

4. Any accessories you’ll wear with the outfit – like a belt or jacket that affects how the garment sits.

5. Your preferences – if you have a specific fit, silhouette, or style in mind, be sure to speak up! Your input helps make the final result just right.

✄ Zoe offers flexible scheduling and can often accommodate short-notice requests. However, most alterations take 3–4 weeks to complete, so it’s best to reach out as soon as you know you’ll need work done. For wedding dresses, please provide at least 3 months’ notice to allow time for the standard 2–3 fittings. You’re also welcome to book as far in advance as you’d like.

✄ Yes, rush services are available when Zoe’s schedule allows. If you're on a tight timeline, just let her know your deadline and she’ll be honest about what’s possible. Rush fees are as follows:

• $20 per item for turnaround under 2 weeks

• $40 per item for turnaround under 1 week

• $60 per item for turnaround under 48 hours

✄ Zoe prefers payment via cash or Zelle. She also accepts Venmo, Paypal, and checks.
