Zoe’s Alteration Studio provides Broadway-quality alterations in White Plains and all of Westchester. Zoe uses her expertise from over a decade of professional tailoring in NYC to achieve a perfect fit for your clothes in the comfort of your home.

Zoe Regan has over 10 years of experience altering and making costumes in NYC for Broadway, film, TV, opera, dance, and fashion. In 2025 she decided to start her own alteration studio out of her home. She loves the challenge of taking existing garments and adjusting them to fit each individual person.

Zoe began her alteration journey in South Dakota when she was a teenager in home economics class making pillows and stuffed animals-then later Halloween costumes with the help of her Aunt Patty. She always had a love of theatre and wanted to try to recreate some of the beautiful costumes she saw on stage.

After high school, she went to Allegheny College, a small liberal arts college in Pennsylvania, and ended up working in the costume shop in the theatre department because she knew how to use a sewing machine. She loved it and spent the next four years developing her sewing skills and dabbling in costume design, alteration, and tailoring for the theatre department.

The day after college graduation, Zoe packed up her car and moved to New York City. She called up all the NYC costume shops and designers she could find to ask for work and eventually landed at Timberlake Studios. Sarah Timberlake was a patient boss and gifted teacher who would end up employing Zoe for the next 10+ years. Zoe went from a novice stitcher to eventually business manager of Timberlake Studios. Her favorite projects were always the ones that had racks and racks of clothing sourced from all over NYC that needed to be altered to fit the actors, usually in a very short amount of time. She loved the process of taking apart what someone else had put together-often learning new techniques along the way. She loved working with each designer and actor to be sure that each costume was a perfect marriage of form and function.

When Sarah Timberlake retired and closed Timberlake Studios at the end of 2024, Zoe decided that she would open her own alteration studio out of her home in White Plains. This is the best of both worlds because she gets to do what she loves while still spending time with her wife and two small children. She is excited to bring her professional skills to Westchester and to you!
